gm,
Three NYC events coming up over the next 2 weeks. Dim Sum with FWB, NFTs & Climate Convo with Celo and Mind Games Trivia Night with Aleo. All are waitlist only at this point, but there is always hope. Also, new pod is up with the CMO of web3, Amanda Cassatt. Give it a listen.
Adoringly,
The Boys

We The People. The first Arbitrum governance vote went off the rails last weekend, coming after a hotly anticipated airdrop in March, designed to distribute voting power to the community and make the layer-2 more decentralized. The timeline is calling it “decentralization theater” after it was revealed that the Arbitrum Foundation had already granted itself millions of dollars, the very thing that was supposedly up for vote. Arbitrum says, “it’s good when we fight” which is probably right, but it’s also giving Jordin Sparks.
Web3 Heritage. We’re simps for the Poolsuite x Ralph Lauren web3 meets trad brand collab. Details of the partnership include airdropped Ralph Lauren NFTs to all Poolsuite holders, unlocking access to a party in Miami later this month. Also they’ll be rolling out Ralph Lauren ‘skins’ for the Poolsuite pfps. Our take is that this is a big get for Ralph Lauren, an aging brand not exactly known for being on the cutting edge. Poolsuite continues to write the playbook for the chronically online consumer, even being expert at customer service.
Dogecoin Millionaire. It was the ‘idk’ heard around the world when Twitter changed its bird icon to the Dogecoin logo earlier this week, causing DOGE to surge by 35%. Was it a botched April Fools joke? A classic pump and dump? Was Elon addressing his Dogecoin lawsuit? Is Elon just a a silly, goofy boy? I think we can all agree that it was absolutely hilarious. In other Elon news (sorry) he blocked Substack links on Twitter which we’re taking personally.
AI is having a Free Britney moment this week, as builders are discovering methods to allow artificial intelligence to make its own decisions and operate independently. In one program, users can give “Baby AGI” a project, and it will automatically determine, prioritize, and execute the necessary steps. Similarly, AutoGPT can write code, give feedback on its own code, and implement the improvements. AI is not just Pope Drip Pics, it can actually get up and work. Wen AI tax filing?
